Who takes responsibility when you use artificial intelligence?
The question is not whether artificial intelligence can do the work for you. Artificial intelligence is a tool to strengthen your professional skills — not replace them. I help companies make conscious technology choices and take responsibility for their digital development.
Responsibility creates value – technology creates opportunities.
What I do
Three areas where I provide value.
Technology should fit the company's real needs and strengthen the people who use it — not the other way round.
-
Consulting
I help your company make conscious technology choices: what to buy, what to build, what to leave alone — and, when building is the right call, automation and systems delivered with the same care.
-
Education
Workshops that teach you and your people to use artificial intelligence to become more skilled — not lazier. Practical, hands-on, and anchored in your own work.
-
Relationships
Long-lasting partnerships based on honesty and integrity. Not a project that ends at hand-over, but an advisor who still picks up the phone.
Responsible AI
Is there a difference between copying an essay and asking ChatGPT to write your email?
In both cases, you did not take responsibility for the skills and expertise required to do the work.
Taking responsibility is essential, no matter the situation. Used consciously, artificial intelligence removes repetitive work and makes capable people more capable. Used carelessly, it quietly moves the thinking somewhere you can no longer see it.
That is why every engagement with Alting & IT starts with the work, the people and the responsibility involved. The technology comes afterwards.
Questions I will ask
- What problem is this actually solving?
- Who is accountable when the output is wrong?
- Where does your data go — and who else can read it?
- Will your team still understand this in two years?
- What do you stop learning by automating it?
- Could you walk away from this vendor tomorrow?
How I work
Direct collaboration, without a layer of sales theatre.
My approach is direct and sometimes uncomfortable: I ask the difficult questions, remove frustrating processes, and help you make technology choices you can stand behind.
- Practical
- Start with the real business need, not the technology that happens to be fashionable.
- Transparent
- Decisions, costs and operations stay inspectable — you always know what runs where, and why.
- Independent
- No vendor allegiances, no needless complexity, no lock-in you did not choose with open eyes.
- Responsible
- Customer data and communication are treated with care, and the people stay in charge of the outcome.
Integrity is not just a principle — it is the foundation for any sustainable solution and relationship.
Data sovereignty
Infrastructure should have a known home.
Everything Alting & IT operates for clients — web services, databases, automation and email delivery — runs on servers located in the European Union. That makes data location explicit and European data protection practical rather than a compliance badge.
Clients keep clear ownership of their domains, data and services. Infrastructure choices are documented, portable where practical, and kept proportionate to the job.
- EU-hostedAll client infrastructure on servers inside the European Union.
- Client-ownedDomains, data and services stay your property.
- DocumentedEvery choice written down and portable where practical.
- ProportionateNo more infrastructure than the job requires.
